For the 2012 season and moving forward, college and high school players will be required to use BBCOR certified baseball bats. BESR Certified bats will no longer be legal in league play. BBCOR (Ball-Bat Coefficient of Restitution) measures the trampoline effect of bats, and is intended to narrow the gap between metal and wood bat performance.
